Migration in schools

SIMI has long been involved in educating the public on migration and refugees and creating opportunities for joint encounters and understanding between migrants and Czech society.

Within the framework of various projects, we also monitor the strengthening of inclusion in the school environment in Pragueand Central Bohemia, through an established program of multicultural education, intercultural education of teachers and pupils and other creative activities motivated by education for tolerance.

The aim is to raise the awareness of pupils of elementary schools, secondary schools and teachers about migration and to involve them in the process of local integration, in direct contact with foreigners.

As part of the project, we organize trainings for teachers on migration and intercultural work on the integration of pupils with a different mother tongue, we hold talks at schools with foreign guests and creative workshops, and organize events for the public, schools and parents of children on a multicultural topic. Part of your services offered to schools is also assistance of intercultural workers..
