One Billion Rising Prague 2018: RISE FOR REVOLUTION / TANCEM PROTI NÁSILÍ
On February 14, 2018 citizens of Prague danced in solidarity, for the fifth consecutive year, with One Billion Rising campaigns all around the world to stand in opposition of violence against women.
Globally, including within the Czech Republic, one in three women will experience some kind of violence in her lifetime. Whether it’s cyberbullying, sexual assault, or domestic violence, the campaign One Billion Rising commits its efforts to illuminating this frightening statistic
| and mobilizing women and girls, as well as all of the people who support them, to fight back against the normalization of violence against women. As the largest mass action to end violence against women, One Billion Rising works to bring together people from all background who believe that when it comes to the staggering violence women and girls face throughout their lifetimes, now is the time to say enough is enough. |
This year people gathered in front of the National Theater in Prague to spread this message loud and clear—through dance!
