AIM will receive foreign partners in the new ESF project

In the period of 9 to 12 March 2011, an opening seminar of the project “Increasing the role of NGOs in the social integration of labour migrants in the CR“, financed by the European Social Fund, will take place i Prague.

The seminar is designed for the AIM´s foreign partners, namely Solidariedade Imigrante from Portugal and Zentrum fur MigrantInnen Tirol from Austria.

The seminar aims to familiarise the foreign partners with the situation of labour migration issues in the Czech Republic as well as the relevant practice of the local NGOs and the state bodies and to develop a discussion in relation to these matters that would lead to an enhancement of the Czech NGOs in their cooperation with state institutions.

Apart from the internal sessions of partners in the project, several study visits at the relevant state institutions make part of the seminar, where the following topics will be discussed:

- New System of Economic Migration at the Asylum and Migration Policy Department of the Czech Ministry of Interior;

- procedure related to the application of work permit by foreigners and the institutional reform of the labour offices at the Labour Office of the City of Prague;

- foreign employment in general and the integration related project at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

The program of the seminar will be enriched by the tour of the Vietnamese trade and cultural centre SAPA together with Vietnamese students.
