Distance-education of pupils-migrants
School education is now online. You can also use the educational programmes broadcast by Czech Television (ČT) or the tips below.
Tips for parents to support distance learning
The Czech Society for Inclusive Education (CSIE) has published a comprehensive ‘Desatero pro rodiče dětí (nejen) se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami’ (Ten Commandments for parents of children (not only) with special educational needs), where you can find 10 tips for distance learning. Desatero pro rodiče can be downloaded here (available in Czech).
Tips for learning Czech online
Employees of the Organization for Aid to Refugees (OAR) have prepared tips for studying Czech from home (online). The document summarises links to the media where you can learn online and links to Czech language exercises as well as materials for entrance exams for secondary schools. The document is available here in Czech.
The Meta organization on its website www.inkluzivniskola.cz also brings tools for teaching Czech as a second language (ČDJ) online. These include E-learning of Czech as a second language and the mobile learning app Click4Czech.
If you need more advice on Czech, please contact the Centre for Integration of Foreigners (CIC). Consultations with a tutor take place via Skype every Monday from 13:00 to 16:00. More information on the website here.
Help with teaching pupils-migrants
Distance learning can be very difficult for migrant pupils and their parents. If you need help, let us know and we can help you to secure the assistance of a volunteer or help you communicate with your school or teacher.
