Roundtables
One of the project’s important activities was organising meetings to discuss the topic of the integration of labour migrants, the role of the non-profit sector in this process and possibilities for cooperation with labour offices and relevant institutions.
During the course of the project, we have organized 3 roundtable meetings, to which labour office employees and representatives of other responsible state authorities (e.g. the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior, etc.) were invited, as was the expert public and other non-governmental organisations working on the issue of migration in the Czech Republic. The individual roundtables took place in various regions of the Czech Republic. They were scheduled at times when foreign project partners from Austria and Portugal were interning in the Czech Republic, and could thus offer their experience as well as examples of practice in their countries. Through the roundtables, we wanted to create a space to exchange information, views and inspiration with respect to prospects for integrating foreigners into the labour market and ways for Czech non-profits to establish cooperation with labour offices and other relevant entities in this area.
The last from the roundtables took place on the 2nd of October at 10s.m. at Národní dům, Velká Hradební 33, in Ústí nad Labem. The discussed topic was the cooperation between non-profit organisations and labour offices in the process of integrating foreigners into the labour market. The first of the roundtables took place in September of last year in Prague, and focused on the topic of opportunities for cooperation between non-profit organisations and labour offices in the process of integrating foreigners into the labour market.
