Numerous significant personalities and organizations have joined the Stefan Batory Foundation in an open letter urging solidarity among themselves as well as the Association for Integration and Migration.

In 2014, SIMI conducted a quantitative research among migrant women working in other people's homes within a 2-year project called Equal opportunities on the threshold of Czech homes.

Now we bring the English version of the research titled as Situation of migrant women on the Czech market of domestic work.

The first of its kind in the Czech Republic, this research is primarily concerned with working conditions of these migrant women, the tasks these women execute as well as with other matters related to paid domestic work.

In our new Annual Report you can find all about our activities from the year 2014 and learn about our main goals and successes. You will find here also stories from our counselling and information about all of our projects. Many of them still continue in this year.

SIMI counselling will be, during the month of July and August, provided on Mondys only untill 5pm.

NEW TOOL from SIMI! We have prepared a useful map with an overview of public services and institutions with services located in Prague 3. In this map you will find useful contacts on free counselling for migrants, social services, important state authorities or health care facilities. The map includes contact information – address, email, web site or opening hours. Evening will be presented by Mrs. Pichak Akbarzadeh, who will talk about Iran and experience with living in the Czech Republic. Part of the evening will be small food tasting of local specialities.

Since 2011, migrants at Prague's foreigners' residence units of the Ministry of the Interior have had the possibility to use newly created services of intercultural workers. In practice, the application of these services can be extended far beyond immigration authorities.

SIMI, for instance, has been focusing in its project called INTEGRO on the promotion and the development of intercultural services in different Prague districts.
