Information for migrant women preparing for giving birth during the state of emergency

Are you pregnant or are you expecting going into labour in the forthcoming days?

Pay attention to the emergency measures of the Ministry of Health concerning the visitations of patients in medical facilities which were issued due to the new coronavirus MZCR.

From 28.3. 2020 there are following rules for women preparing for giving birth:

  • "3rd parties" are banned from attending births in medical facilities. This includes even the father of your child or a doula.
  • There is an exception for migrant women that they can be accompanied by an interpreter in case they need it.
  • Visitations of newborns are allowed. Please, ensure with your maternity hospital at what conditions will your partner be able to visit the baby.
