moreStory about student Busra from Turkey 01/11/19
In SIMI, we regularly employ international interns. This spring, we hosted Busra, an intern from Turkey, who is enrolled in the master degree of gender studies for international students on Faculty of Humanities UK.
Busra showed great interest in our work and helped us mostly with research concerning the situation of migrant women in the Czech Republic and in Europe. We were, on the other hand, interested in how she actually enjoys living in Prague.
moreFrom European networks: Radical Girlsss letter to the president-elect of the European Commission 14/10/19
SIMI monitors the events related to new establishment of the European Commission. We share an action made in this respect within the European Network of Migrant Women, which we are a member of.
Radical Girlsss, a group of young feminist women acting within the cited network, addressed a letter to the new president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Commissioners Margaritis Schinas (portfolio “Protecting our European Way of Life”), Helena Dalli (“Equality" portfolio), Ylva Johansson (“Home Affairs” portfolio).

You can meet us at the festival The Different City Experience. Join us to meet migrant women and to talk about their migrant´s journey to the Czech Republic and their lifes in the new country. It is an excellent opportunity to drink some tea and "experience" migration through the stories of people who lived it.
