Foreign workers on the labour market - information leaflets

The Association for Integration and Migration is pleased to present you new information leaflets, which were created within the project named Foreign workers on the labor market, financed by the European Social Fund´s Operational Programme Human Resources and Employment.

Leaflets are created in both forms - in printed and electronic version in Czech, Russian and English, to make their content available to as many foreigners as possible. Leaflets inform foreigners about employment conditions and risks of illegal labor.

The Association for Integration and Migration, the Organization for Aid to Refugees and the Multicultural Centre Prague through the leaflets want to help foreigners to achieve a more effective enforcement of rights at labor market in the Czech Republic.

Our experiences show that foreigners at the labor market have specific problems in comparison with Czech employees, whether in terms of enforcing proper wages, education or not fullfilling elementary safety rules. Foreigners often are troubled because of close relationship between work and residence permit, which is misused by some unfair employers. We consider alarming the situation of forced labor and forced criminality, which is very closely related to the labour market. Victims of this crime are included to the project and through the information leaflest and the campaign we try to reach them with legal assistance.

Great attention is paid to foreign women, because their position at the Czech labor market is even more difficult. From our point of view women are particularly vulnerable sub-group that is exposed to greater discrimination at the labor market and multiplier risk of social exclusion.

We would appreciate your help with spreading the information materials. Thanks to you we can succeed with correction of relationships at the labor market and help specific people to defend their rights.
